Cemented carbide a crystal grain diameter of a WC layer of which is not more than 4 μm, breaking resistanct force strength of which is not less than 100 kg/mm2 and a thermal expansion coefficient of which is not more than 5.0×10-6°C is used for the base material, and it is favourable to have small cracks on the crystal grains of the WC layer. It is favourable that the diamond layer is fomed not more than 20 μm in thickness by a diamond of not more than 10 μm in average grain diameter.
