PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive diamond drill cutting tool not requiring a special fine discharge processing machine or soldering treatment, easy in the processing of the spiral groove shape of a drill and having a long life and good processability.

CONSTITUTION: A fine wire material 2 is spirally wound around the leading end part of the core material 1 of a drill cutting tool so as to form a spiral groove for discharging a cut powder to form a spiral uneven part on the outer peripheral surface of the core material 1 and a diamond film 3 is formed on the surface thereof by CVD (chemical vapor phase synthesizing method).
