To prevent breakage of a diaphragm for measurement of a diaphragm carburetor in which starting fuel is fed to an intake passage via a constant fuel chamber by displacing the diaphragm for measurement and forcibly opening a fuel inlet valve of the constant fuel chamber by an positive pressure portion of pulsation pressure occurring in a crank chamber of an engine.
A diaphragm 15 for drive having hardness higher than that of a diaphragm 13 for measurement is mounted on the side of an atmospheric chamber 12. The positive pressure portion of pulsation pressure in a crank chamber 26 is led in a drive chamber 16 through a pulsation pressure passage 32 having a check valve 33 and a manual switching valve 34. By displacement of the diaphragm 15 for drive, the diaphragm 13 for measurement is pressed and displaced in a small displacement so as to forcibly open a fuel inlet valve.
