Abstract:

To realize a diaphragm device that is able to achieve reduction in drive power and is able to stabilize aperture diameter accuracy.

A diaphragm device comprises: a plurality of diaphragm blades configured to change the size of the lens aperture of a camera; a drive member configured to change the aperture diameter by rotating around an optical axis; a base plate holding the drive member so that the member is rotatable; and a cover configured to restrict displacement of the diaphragm blades and drive member in the direction of the optical axis. The drive member slides between the rail portion of the base plate and the rail portion of the cover. The rail portion of the base plate and the rail portion of the cover are provided with inclinations so that displacement in the direction of the optical direction takes place as a result of rotation of the drive member.
