To provide an elliptical or race track type diaphragm of great sound speed which is less likely to generate split vibration, and to provide a speaker using the same, and a manufacturing method of a diaphragm.
The diaphragm is composed of a material containing a carbon fiber-reinforced liquid crystal polymer and a cyclic olefin resin, and has an elliptical or race track type outer peripheral shape in a plan view from a specific direction. When the length of major axis of the elliptical or race track type outer peripheral shape is a, the length of minor axis is b, the thickness at the end in the major axis direction is Ta, and the thickness at the end in the minor axis direction is Tb, following relation is satisfied, 0.0003≤(Ta-Tb)/(a-b)≤0.0030.
