Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm type valve capable of assuring an air-tight state at a closed valve chamber without performing any welding of a diaphragm.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a diaphragm type valve used for flowing high pressure gas. This diaphragm type valve comprises a hollow valve main body 10 provided with a high pressure gas flow-in passage 14 and a flow-out passage 15; a diaphragm 60 forming a closed valve chamber 16 for connecting the high pressure gas flow-in passage 14 with the flow-out passage 15; a seating stem 70 and a diaphragm fixing nut 80 for holding the central part of the diaphragm 60 from the inside and outside of the closed valve chamber 16; and a sheet disc 110 for opening or closing the high pressure gas flow-in passage 14 in cooperation with the seating stem 70 and the diaphragm fixing nut 80. The seating stem 70 positioned in the closed valve chamber 16 is provided with a contact part composed of series of edges enclosing a central shaft of the diaphragm 60.
