PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new diaphragm valve improved in the constitution of a back plate for protecting a diaphragm.
SOLUTION: In this diaphragm valve comprising a valve element part opened and closed by a spindle, and the diaphragm protected by the back plate, the back plate is divided along a circle on the spindle, and each divided member follows the valve element part to support and protects the diaphragm at an opening position and a closing position of the valve element part.
