PURPOSE: To attain high developing efficiency by simple structure while preventing the leakage of gaseous ammonia and making the inclination of a tray unnecessary by forming a soft sealing member covering the whole surface of the opening of a diazo dry developing device where development is carried out by contact with a vaporized developer.
CONSTITUTION: A soft sealing member 9 is formed in a size capable of covering the whole surface of the opening 2 of a tray 1, and it is attached to a guide plate. By boiling an aqueous ammonia soln. 4 by heating with a heater 5, gaseous ammonia as a vaporized developer and steam are generated to fill the tray 1 without releasing from the tray 1. Sensitive paper 11 enters the tray 1 from the gap between a wire 8 and the sealing member 9, and it is developed during passing through the tray 1. The opening 2 can be tightly sealed by the sealing member 9 without hindering transport because of the softness of the member 9 even if the whole surface is sealed.
