Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: A compd. represented by formula I (R1-R8 are H, alkyl, alkylthio, alkenyl, alkynyl or halogen, CN, OH, NO2, 3-7-membered heterocycles containing up to four atoms of a different kind or aryl or two neighboring groups are combined to form a 5-7-membered carbon ring; and R14 and R15 are each H, alkyl, aryl or combined to form a 5-7-membered carbon ring) or its salt.

EXAMPLE: 3-formyl-11-methoxy-7H-dibenzo[b,g] [1,2]dioxocin-5-one.

USE: An antihypertensive agent, a coronary remedy and a remedy of poisoning of digitalis.

PROCESS: For example, a compd. represented by formula II (X is halogen; and Y is alkoxy or aryloxy) and a compd. represented by formula III (Z is a hydroxyl protecting group) are condensed in an inert solvent and the obtained compd. represented by formula IV is subsequently cyclized to obtain the compd. represented by formula I.
