EXAMPLE: (2-Dichloroamino-2-methyl)propyl hemisuccinate.

USE: Disinfectant: it has fungicidal and bacteriocidal activity. It has no defects such as being too irritant and meets the all specifications of disinfectant with high safety and no toxcity. The presence of the carboxylic group increases its solubility in water and improve skin permeability.

PREPARATION: An aminoacid of formula II is made to react with a chlorinating agent such as N-chlorosuccinimide and sodium hydrochlorite in an inert solvent under mild conditions to give the compound of formulaI. The chlorination substantially finishes at 0W150°C for 1W24 hours usually.
