Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simply produce a clear dichromatic image by applying intial electric charge to a photoreceptor in which a light conductive layer and insulating layer are laminated on an electrically conductive substrate and then, carrying out developing the first color by applying reverse process to a sensitive part after exposure of a negative image and then, performing normal process after exposing a positive image.

CONSTITUTION: The surface 3 of a photoreceptor layer 13 where a light conductive layer 11 and an insulating layer 13 are laminated on an electrically conductive substrate in order is evenly charged with electricity. Then, a negative image is exposed (marked with an arrow), and a part where the surface potential goes down due to change in the capacity of a sensitive part is subjected to reverse process (in the example, the process is carried out with positive toner). Next, positive exposure is carried out, and since while the electric potential goes down in a place ex- posed to the light, the surface electric potential does not go down in a nonexposed part, normal process is applied. (in the example with negative toner). Thus, clean on the back and clear dichromatic image can be produced by using the photoreceptor processing one layer light and electrically conductive layer by two time exposures.
