In the die box driving device 11 to reciprocally move a die box 25 to draw a trolley cable 12 to be wound around a drawing kettle 13 while traversing the trolley cable, a supporting base 18 is placed before the drawing kettle 13, a slide base 23 to support the die box 25 is provided reciprocally along the axis of rotation of the drawing kettle 13 on the supporting base 18, a die box driving motor 34 is provided on the slide base 23, a pinion 35 is provided on a rotary shaft of the driving motor 34, and a rack 36 to be engaged with the pinion 35 is provided on the supporting base 18 side.
