Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die capable of obtaining a sound fiber reinforced composite body by adaptation of the diecasting process.
SOLUTION: The cavity 22 of a die 9 has a composite body forming zone A in which a fiber forming body 21 exists, a molten metal pool zone B adjacent to the composite body forming zone A, and a calm zone C of molten metal flow where turbulent molten metal flow from a gate 34 is calmed down and led into the molten metal pool zone B. In this way, the molten metal flow led to the molten metal pool zone B substantially forms a laminar flow and air is prevented from being caught by the molten metal flow and hence, the molten metal m in the metal pool zone B is smoothly filled in the fiber forming body 21.
