PURPOSE: To change a die only and to improve time-saving, workability, safety, productivity.

CONSTITUTION: This is a die changing tool for an extruding press mounted between a die stem and a die handling device arranged in parallel with it, a jig body 21 is provided so that it can be moved by a cylinder 23 longitudinally, holding pins 32 which can be attached and detachaede freely into positioning pin holes 31 of the die 13 and also die holding means 33 made of a leaf spring clamping the outer peripheral part of the die 13 are provided in front of a jig body 21. Further, limit switches 28, 29 are equipped to decide a position for performing receipt and delivery of the die of the jig body 21 and the die is stopped at a suitable position corresponding to the dimension and shape of the die.
