Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of preventing to the utmost generation of a lump of a lubricant, reducing to the utmost a time required for maintenance thereof, and as a result, reducing production cost of a wire for a polygonal cross section.SOLUTION: A cross section shape of a bearing part 101b of a die 101 for drawing process is devised. A lump of a lubricant is accumulated on a 'corner' of a polygonal cross section, and sometimes damages the surface of a completed wire A-2. As a countermeasure thereto, each 'corner' on the cross section is connected by a curved line, to thereby prevent accumulation of the lump of the lubricant. As a result, generation of a flaw on the surface caused by the lump of the lubricant can be prevented.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
