PURPOSE: To hold a die height in an almost constant state by supplying a lubricating oil controlled at a constant temperature, to a connecting rod which is one of component members of a slide driving crank mechanism of a press, and suppressing a variation of dimensions of the connecting rod.

CONSTITUTION: A heat exchange unit 6 is started at a constant interval of time before an operation of a press 1 is started, and oil is scattered so that a connecting rod 3 draws near an operation temperature. When a press work is started, a temperature of the connecting rod 3 is maintained at an almost stationary state, and a variation of a die height is suppressed very small. During this time, lubricating oil discharged from a lubricating oil unit 5 is lubricated to each part of the moving part such as a crank shaft 2, etc. of the press 1 by a pipe 8, and return oil from the press 1 is received by the unit 5 through a pipe 7. The unit 6 adjusts the lubricating oil received through a pipe 9 from the unit 5, to a constant temprature, and supplies it to the rod 3 through a pipe 10.
