To provide a hot-forging method by which an oxidized coating film is removed just before forging by providing an oxidized coating film removing means on the die itself without using an exclusive scale removing device.
After heating a material 1 to be heated at a prescribed temperature and stripping off the oxidized coating film 7 on the surface of the material by pressurizing the workpiece 1 while pressing it against the die 4A with a punch 6A and, after blowing off the oxidized coating film to the outside of the part to the part to be worked where by jetting air toward the part to be worked where the workpiece 1 is pressurized, the workpiece 1 is forged into a prescribed shape. After all, the oxidized coating film 7 is stripped off just before forging, and the stripped-off oxidized coating film 7 is blown off with the air. Consequently, the material is forged in the state of no oxidized coating film 7.
