The die management system KKS includes a layout unit for automatically laying out the dies based on a command, a detection means provided on the layout unit so as to detect the die, and a determination means for determining whether the die detected by the detection means is the die automatically laid out or not. The dies automatically laid out and the die manually attached are used in common.
