PURPOSE: To adjust the maximum width dimension in the direction across the direction of the relative movement of first and second dies in a die for extrusion of variable section where the overlapped part of opening of the first and second dies is the extrusion hole.

CONSTITUTION: A first die 11 and a second die 12 having a first extrusion hole 21 and a second extrusion hole 22 respectively are arranged so that the first and second extrusion holes 21, 22 are successively arranged in the extrusion direction of a work to be extruded, the overlapped position of the first and second extrusion holes 21, 22 of the dies 11, 12 is changed by making a relative movement of the dies 11, 12. In a die 10 for extrusion of variable section whose section of the extrusion hole is variable, third dies 13A, 13B to adjust the maximum width in the direction Y across the direction X of the relative movement of the first and second dies 11, 12 among the dimensions of the extrusion hole are movably provided in the direction Y.
