To provide a die for molding a die having a long service life which is made of ferrous material and easily manufactured at low cost.

This die is made of a metallic material which is not subjected to the solid phase transformation in the temperature range not higher than the pouring temperature of molten ferrous material. Thus, the volumetric change caused by the solid phase transformation can be prevented, occurrence of cracks attributable to internal stresses caused by expansion can be avoided, and the lifetime as the die can be prolonged. The die is formed of an electrodeposition layer by electroforming. Since a metal block or the like need not be machined, the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
