PURPOSE: To effectively prevent the development of blow hole in a wheel by forming a bottom face at opening part in a runner so as to come to almost the same level with a part corresponding to inside face of an outer flange of a rim part in a forming space.
CONSTITUTION: A die 1 is constituted with an upper die 5 as liftable, a lower die 4 and plural sliding dies 5 as slidable to horizontal direction. The bottom face at the opening part in the runner 6 communicated with the forming space 2 for forming the wheel in the die 1, is made to almost the same level with the part corresponding to the inside face of outer flange of the rim part in forming space 2. Therefore, after pouring molten metal flowing in the forming space from the runner into the part corresponding to the outer flange in the forming space, successively flowing molten metal is not made to contact with the part corresponding to outside face 2b of the outer flange in the die, and heating at this part is prevented. By this method, the wheel having no blow hole is formed at outside face of the outer flange.
