Title:
DIE FOR SYNTHETIC RESIN PELLETIZER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5865617
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a die for a resin pelletizer whose pressure loss is low, by arranging a plurality of inlet nozzles that open to one end of a die body and a plurality of outlet nozzles that open to the other end of the die, with the inlet nozzles and outlet nozzles being independent of each other and being in communication with the cavity in the die body.

CONSTITUTION: A molten synthetic resin fed from the inlet nozzles 12 is introduced in the cavity 14, is extruded from the outlet nozzles 13 and is cut to be pelletized. In this case, as the diameter of the inlet nozzles 12 is large, the pressure loss at the inlet nozzles 12 is reduced, further as the molten synthetic resin is pooled in the cavity 14, the pressure loss is substantially decreased when compared with the prior tapered hole, and as the number of the outlet nozzles 13 can be arbitrarily determined, and is larger than the prior art, the pressure loss is decreased. Thus the pressure loss is decreased and therefore the energy efficiency can be increased.
