To provide a small-sized cheap dielectric antenna having a small height and a non-complicated feeder circuit.
A dielectric feeder 5 has a resonance radiator 5a at one end for guiding and resonating with radio waves, the radiator 5a is set to a height of about (1/4-1/2) λ (λ is the wavelength of radio waves in the dielectric), and a metal case 6 is mounted on and fixed to the other end of the feeder 5 with a reflecting plane 6a defined by the inner bottom of the case 6. Probes 7, 8 are inserted into the feeder 5 below the resonance radiator 5a with a space set to be λ/4 between the reflective plane 6a and each probe 7, 8. For circularly polarized radio waves, a cut face 5b is formed into the outer surface of the resonance radiator 5a so that the lengths of the orthogonal axes of the radiator 5a differ in a plane perpendicular to the axial line.
