PURPOSE: To provide the dielectric resonator which can easily be mounted on a stepless holding jig without requiring a stepped holding jig and can stably be held when an input and an output electrode, etc., are formed on the external surface of a dielectric block having a step part.

CONSTITUTION: At least one resonator hole 2 is formed penetrating a couple of opposite end surfaces of the dielectric block 1 provided with the step part 1c, an internal conductor 3 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the resonator hole 2, and an external conductor 5 is formed covering the nearly entire outer peripheral surface of the dielectric block 1 to constitute the dielectric resonator; and a projection part 1d which is formed integrally with the dielectric block 1 is provided to part or the whole of the upper part of the end surface side of the step part 1c as one end surface side of the dielectric block 1 and the thickness of the part where the projection part 1d is formed is made as large as the thick part of the dielectric block 1.
