To provide a combustion method and a combustion device for a diesel engine reducing nitrogen oxide and particulate matter in engine exhaust gas and improving thermal efficiency.
The device is designed in a dimension ratio to maintain volume ratio of water and fuel at delivery pressure so as to be water 50-90: fuel 50-10, preferably water 80: fuel 20, and is provided with a supply pump 3 for water pressurization pressurizing water to critical pressure of water or higher and delivering the same, a supply pump 4 for fuel pressurization pressurizing fuel to critical pressure of water or higher and delivering the same, and a heating means heating water pressurized to critical pressure of water or higher to 250°C or higher, or critical temperature of water or higher. Water and fuel oil mixture pressurized to critical pressure of water or higher, and heated to 250°C or higher, or to critical temperature of water or higher by the heating means, and fuel pressurized to critical pressure of water or higher is injected in a diesel engine cylinder to be self-ignited.
