PURPOSE: To achieve acceleration/deceleration feeling approximately same with that under non-regeneration even under regeneration, by performing increase/ decrease correction of fuel injection in accordance to the acceleration/deceleration signal from acceleration/deceleration detection sensor under regeneration of particulate collection filter.
CONSTITUTION: In a controller where a particulate collection filter 3 is arranged in the exhaust path 2, an inner timer 9 constituting a part of fuel injection timing regulating means and fuel injection regulating means 10 are provided in a distribution fuel injection pump 8. An injection timing detection sensor (not shown) for detecting the actual injection timing is provided in the inner timer 9. While an opening sensor 12 for detecting the stepping of accelerator pedal 11 or the opening of accelerator lever is provided where the output is differentiated through a differentiator 12' to produce an acceleration/deceleration signal. Then the injection timing detection signal and acceleration/deceleration signal are fed to a controller 6 to perform increase/decrease correction of fuel injection from regulating means 10 in accordance to said signals.
