Title:
DIESEL ENGINE LUBRICATED BY FUEL SUCH AS GAS OIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007023946
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a diesel engine lubricated by fuel such as gas oil capable of preventing discharge of vapor of gas oil or the like which is formed when fuel such as gas oil is used as lubricating oil to atmosphere.

An engine 1 using fuel such as gas oil as lubricating oil is provided with a purge valve 20 supplying vapor formed at engine each part to an engine suction system as premixed compression ignition combustion fuel. ECU 21 of the engine 1 calculates target vapor supply quantity necessary as premixed compression ignition combustion fuel based on data acquired by an exhaust A/F sensor 26, and other sensor group 24, and adjusts opening of the purge valve 20 to keep the quantity to target vapor supply quantity. Discharge of vapor to atmosphere can be avoided by consuming the vapor as premixed compression ignition combustion fuel.
