To obtain a diesel engine oil composition exhibiting improvement of fuel consumption with reducing friction, high-temperature detergency when contaminated with soot and abrasion resistance.
This diesel engine oil composition comprises calcium borate perbasic calcium salicylate in an amount of 0.15-0.20 mass% expressed in terms of Ca concentration, a mixture of the primary zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate and the secondary zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate having 1.0-1.3 P mass ratio of the secondary zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate to the primary zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate in an mount of 0.10-0.15 mass% expressed in terms of P concentration, a succinate imide ashless dispersant composed of two kinds of polybutenyl group- containing bissuccinate imides each having 900-1,100 number-average molecular weight and 1,400-1,600 number-average molecular weight and having 2.0-3.0 N mass ratio of the polybutenyl group-containing bissuccinate imide having 900-1,100 number-average molecular weight to that having 1,400-1,600 number-average molecular weight in an amount of 0.08-0.15 mass% expressed in terms of N concentration, a molybdenum dithiocarbamate friction regulator in an amount of 0.05-0.10 mass% expressed in terms of Mo concentration and a polymethacrylate viscosity index improving agent having 250,000-350,000 weight-average molecular weight in an amount so as to have 9-12 mm2/s kinematic viscosity at 100°C to a base oil for mineral oil having 2-8 mm2/s kinematic viscosity at 100°C and ≥120 viscosity index.
