Title:
DIESEL ENGINE PROVIDED WITH CENTRIFUGAL GOVERNOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3445714
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of black smoke to be mixed with exhaust gas in the start-up of an engine while restraining cost of a governor from being increased.
SOLUTION: A governor input lever connected to a fuel amount adjusting rack of a fuel injection pump is connected to a speed control lever through a governor spring, and a governor sleeve 14 is fitted around a governor shaft 15 so as to be freely slid and moved. The governor input lever is brought in contact with one end surface of the governor sleeve 14. In the start-up of an engine in the cold, the fuel amount adjusting rack is energized and positioned in the start-up amount increasing position. In the start-up of the engine in the warm, wax 46 filled in an internal space 45 of pistons 42, 43 in a cylinder 41 provided on a weight holder 16 is melted and expanded, the governor sleeve 14 is pressed to the fuel amount decreasing side through a governor weight 17, and the fuel amount adjusting rack is positioned in the start-up amount increase regulating position deviated from the start-up amount increasing position to the fuel amount decreasing side.
