Abstract:
PURPOSE: To maintain sufficient lubricating oil amount at a ball weight and a ball guide hole and enhance the response sensitivity of a governor by supplying a condensed oil gathered from over an oil receptacle ridge to the ball weight from the inner bottom part of the guide hole.
CONSTITUTION: A mechanical governor has a ball holder 3 located on a governor shaft 1, and a ball guide hole 5 having an inclined bottom is formed in the holder 3 so that a ball weight 7 is accommodated, and a governor sleeve 8 is slided in the axial direction with movement of the ball weight 7 actuated by the centrifugal force. Thus adjustment of the fuel amount is performed, A lubricating oil receptacle ridge 16 inclined to plumb is formed on the vertical wall 13 of a case, and an oil handover piece 17 is installed at the bottom of the ridge 16. The governor shaft 1 is provided with an oil introducing hole 18 stretching in the axial direction, and the tip of the piece 17 is inserted into this hole 18. The lubricating oil captured by the piece 17 is supplied t,o the ball guide hole 5 via an oil leadout hole 21.
