PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of the backlash of a rack pin in a rack pin hole and to prevent the occurrence of hunting of engine rotation and a delay of control by a method wherein a rod attitude maintaining pin paralleling a rack pin is protruded from a fuel metering rack and the rod attitude maintaining pin is fitted in a pin fit-in part arranged at a coupling rod.
CONSTITUTION: A mechanical governor brings a spring force input lever 28 and a governor force input lever 29 into contact with each other and by oscillating governor levers (28 and 29) 7 by means of an unbalancing force between a spring force 36 and a gorver governor 37 by a weight 35, a position is adjusted to a governor metering rack 2 and the number of engine revolutions is maintained at a constant value. In this case, a rod attitude maintaining pin 15 paralleling a rack pin 14 is protruded from the fuel metering rack 2, and the pin 15 is fitted in a pin fit-in part 16 arranged at a coupling rod 10. Further, a screw tool 18 is mounted in a screwed-in state on the rack pin 14 and the coupling rod 10 is fixed in a given attitude to the rack pin 14 through the fastening force of the screw tool 18. This constitution prevents the occurrence of the backlash of the rack pin 14.
