Abstract:
To improve installation of an oxidation catalyst and supercharge performance in a diesel engine equipped with a turbocharger and to enhance maintainability of a diesel particulate filter.
The diesel engine equipped with the turbocharger 1 has a construction characterized in that the diesel oxidation catalyst 3 is disposed in an exhaust path P connecting an exhaust manifold 2 and a turbine 1a of the turbocharger 1. The diesel engine has the construction characterized in that the diesel particulate filter 4 is installed in the exhaust manifold 2.
