Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the incorporatability of a side gear and a washer which is arranged between the side gear and a differential gear case by providing the washer with an engaging projection. CONSTITUTION:Between a side gear 3 and the inner surface of a gear housing 23, there is arranged a washer 20 which has a shape along the inner shape of the gear housing 23 so as to receive thrust force from the side gear 3. And, an annular engaging groove 22 is provided along the rotational direction of the side gear 3 on the outer periphery portion of a back surface on the case 5 side of the side gear 3, while an engaging projection 20a engaging with the engaging groove 22 of the side gear 3 is projectedly provided over the overall circumference on the outer periphery portion of the washer 20. When the side gear 3 is incorporated into the gear housing 23 from an incorporating hole 8, the engaging projection 20a of the washer 20 is engaged with the engaging groove 22 of the side gear 3, that is, the incorporation can be performed in such a state that the washer 20 is fixed to the back surface of the side gear 3.
