Abstract:
To provide a differential gear device which can further surely prevent distortion resulting from contraction caused by cooling after the fusion of a weld portion, in the differential gear device in which an internal periphery of a ring gear is welded to an external periphery of a differential case.SOLUTION: An internal periphery of a ring gear constitutes an insertion hole for inserting a differential case therein, and the insertion hole has a tapered face whose diameter is contracted to an insertion direction of the differential case, and an internal peripheral face which is further continuously extended from the tapered face to the insertion direction. The differential case has an inserted part inserted into the insertion hole, and the inserted part has a first external peripheral face which is fit and inserted into the tapered face, and a second external peripheral face inserted into an internal peripheral face. A notched groove part in a cross section view is formed at a boundary side between the first external peripheral face and the second external peripheral face, and welding is set to a depth reaching the groove part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
