Abstract:
To reduce the number of components such as bolts for integrating a left differential case and a right differential case in a differential gear unit, and to reduce steps for manufacturing and the like.SOLUTION: A differential gear unit 1A is equipped with a differential case 2, a ring gear 5, a left side gear 7, a right side gear 9, and a pinion gear 11 engaged with the left side gear 7 and the right side gear 9 to rotate around a pinion shaft 10. A differential case 2 is divided into a left differential case 3 on the left side of a vehicle, and a right differential case 4 on the right side of the vehicle. The left differential case 3 and the right differential case 4 respectively have shaft holes 12 and 13 in which the pinion shaft 10 is inserted. By inserting the pinion shaft 10 in the shaft hole portions 12 and 13, the left differential case 3 and the right differential case 4 are integrated. The number of components such as bolts for integrating the left differential case 3 and the right differential case 4 can be reduced, and steps for manufacturing and the like can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
