Abstract:
To provide a differential gear with sufficient lubricity of a differential mechanism and a simple structure capable of restraining axial movement in a notch part of a case half body of a shaft part of a pinion shaft.SOLUTION: The differential gear comprises: a notch part K provided to one case half body C1 of a differential case C; and a locking member 9 locking a shaft part 24a of a pinion shaft 24 with the notch part K. The notch part K has: a first notch portion K1 which extends in an axial direction and through which the shaft part 24a can pass while one end is opened to a face of one case half body C1 opposed to the other case half body C2; and a second notch portion K2 communicated with the first notch portion K1 and formed wider than the first notch portion. The shaft part 24a is inserted in a supporting hole 9h of the locking member 9 and the locking member 9 is fitted with the second notch portion K, so that the shaft part 24a is locked with and fixed to the second notch portion K2 via the locking member 9. Under an assembling state of the differential gear 10 that both case half bodies C1, C2 are coupled with each other, the first notch portion K1 always communicates inside and outside of the differential case C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
