Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a differential gear having a differential limiting function to be compact by securing the performance of power distribution from a transmission member to two shafts by simple constitution.
SOLUTION: In this differential gear 10, power is distributed to two driven shafts from a hollow casing 21 of the transmission member through four cam followers 80... and a first and a second cam members 50 and 60, while allowing prescribed rotation difference between the two driven shafts. A plurality of engagement grooves 23, etc., parallel to the first and the second driven shafts are formed in an inner circumferential surface 22 of the transmission member 20, and groove width Wi of the engagement grooves 23 is set to be smaller than total length L1 of the cam follower 80. The cam followers 80 are respectively engaged with the engagement grooves 23, etc., in such a way that their spherical parts 81 and 81 at both ends are directed in a rotating direction. Protruded parts of the spherical parts 81 and 81 into a space part Sp out of the engagement grooves 23 are placed between the first and the second cam surfaces 51 and 52 which are opened diametrically outward.
