Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential limiting device of a four-wheel drive vehicle which can reduce friction at an engagement part of a dog clutch member for switching a two-way clutch and a dog clutch to an engaged state and a shift member.SOLUTION: A two-way clutch 30 which switches four-wheel drive and two-wheel drive by the fastening and release of a side gear 18b and an axle shaft 11b, and a differential lock dog clutch 50 which has a dog clutch member 51, and fastens and releases the side gear 18b to/from a differential case 16 by the dog clutch member 51 are arranged at a side part of a differential gear 9 which distributes power from an engine to a pair of the left and right axle shafts 11a, 11b. The two-way clutch 30 and the dog clutch 50 are switchable to an engagement state by the dog clutch member 51 which is moved to an axial direction by a shift member 63, a temporary fastening mechanism 70 which temporarily fastens the dog clutch member 51 at the switching position is arranged, and friction at a contact part of the shift member 63 and the dog clutch member 51 is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
