Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enhance transmission efficiency, by giving thrust force in the axial direction in accordance with a load of an output shaft to a sun shaft so that forced contact force in accordance with the thrust force is applied acting on a rolling contact surface. CONSTITUTION:A sun shaft 2 is formed into a conical shape, and one end of its large contour side is connected with the termination of an input shaft 1 through a torque cam 3. Rotation of the input shaft 1 is transmitted to the sun shaft 2 through steel balls 30, and when a load applied to the input shaft 2 increases, thrust force in the axial direction is given to the sun shaft 2 by moving the steel balls along tilt surfaces of cam plates 1a, 2a. The sun shaft 2, receiving said thrust force, moves to its small contour side, and high efficiency of power transmission is displayed by increasing forced contact force acting between the sun shaft 2 and planet rollers 5 and between the planet rollers 5 and both inscribed rings 7, 9.
