Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a differential pressure casting method and a wheel made of aluminum alloy, which the quality of the casting product can be improved.
CONSTITUTION: Inner part in a stoke 10 and a cavity 1 are kept to an inert gas 23 atmosphere and the differential pressure impressing speed at the time of introducing molten metal 7 into the cavity 1 is made to be 0.001-0.006kgf/cm2/ s to execute the casting. Further, the overheat degree of the molten metal 7 is kept to 50-80°C to execute the casting or the temp. of a metallic mold 2 is kept to 350-430°C to execute the casting. Further, by supplying the inert gas 23 into the stoke 10, the casting product and the molten metal 7 are separated and the height of the surface 8 of the molten metal 7 in the stoke 10 separated from the casting product is kept to be higher than the height of the molten metal surface in a holding furnace 6, and cooling and taking-out of the casting product can be executed.
