Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a differential speed change gear without backlash, by utilizing a radial elastic force. CONSTITUTION:Toothed rings 1 of an external gear 3 are arranged at both ends of an elastically deformable thin-walled cylindrical shell 2. Index numbers 4 and 5 designate internal gears, and the other is a fixed gear. An eccentric rotor 8 is driven by a primer mover through an input shaft 9. An eccentric motion of the eccentric rotor 8 is transmitted through a bearing 7 to a ring 6, and further transmitted to the external gear 3. When the center line 10 of the input shaft 9 is moved by a minute amount in the direction of an arrow A where the external gear 3 is meshed with the internal gears 4 and 5, and then is fixed, the toothed rings 1 are urged to the internal gears 4 and 5 by a radial elastic force of the thin-walled cylindrical shell 2.
