PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a difficulty estimation model learning device capable of learning difficulty estimation models for accurately estimating difficulty of text.SOLUTION: A characteristic quantity extraction unit 30 extracts, from each of picture book texts stored in a picture book database 8, a proportion of Katakana, an average number of characters per sentence, and an average number of phrases per sentence in the text as characteristic quantities, and a difficulty estimation model generation unit 32 generates a difficulty estimation model on the basis of the characteristic quantities extracted from each picture book text and a level of difficulty assigned to each picture book text.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
