Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a low-cost diffraction grating having high precision and satisfactory reliability.
SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin or low melting point glass 12 is put on a planar glass substrate 11, then is softened by heating and press-formed with a die having a shape reverse to the surface shape of a diffraction grating, until the top of the die comes into contact with the surface of the substrate 11 to separately form line parts 12a which become projections. An antireflection film or a reflecting film 13 is then formed on the surface of the substrate 11 on which the formed line parts 12a.
