Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease the addition amount of cooking liquor and improve the yield of pulp in a modified alkaline digestion process by adding a cyclic keto compound mainly to a counter flow digestion part of a digester.
CONSTITUTION: Fifty to ninety % of an alkaline cooking liquor 17 is supplied to a penetration vessel 6, 5-45% to the upper digestion trim zone A and an upper digestion zone B of a digester 8 and 5-45% to the lower digestion zone C (counter-flow digestion part). The alkaline cooking liquor containing 0.001-1.0wt.% (based on lignocellulose material) of a cyclic keto compound 50 is mainly supplied to the zone C.
