Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform transmission (recording and reproducing) using a ΣΔmodulation.
CONSTITUTION: Input audio signals from an input terminal 1 are supplied to an integrator 3 through an adder 2. The signals from the integrator 3 are supplied to a comparator 4, compared with the middle potential of the input audio signals, for example and are one bit quantized for every sample period. The quanitized signals are supplied to a delaying device 5 and delayed equivalent to one sample period. The delayed signals are supplied to the adder 2 through a one bit DA converter 6 and added to the input audio signals from the terminal 1. Thus, the comparator 4 outputs the input audio signals which are ΣΔ modulated and quantized. The quantized signals outputted from the comparator 4 are supplied to an additional circuit 7 of synchronization signals and error correction coding (ECC) and the synchronization signals and the ECC are added to the quantized signals for every prescribed number of samples. The quantized signals, to which the synchronization signals and the ECC are added, are supplied to a recording head 8 and recorded on a recording medium 9.
