Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver with which a person watching broadcasting can select a video hierarchy when a receiving state deteriorates in digital broadcasting. SOLUTION: This digital broadcasting receiver for receiving the digital broadcasting in which two or more hierarchical services exist in the same channel is provided with a frequency tuning means (tuner pack 1) for extracting a desired tuning channel from the received signal of the digital broadcasting and outputting the desired tuning channel, a hierarchy demodulating means (demodulating/decoding part 2) for demodulating two or more hierarchies in the channel selected by the frequency tuning means in each hierarchy, an error correction rate deciding means (Reed-Solomon decoding part 5 and controller 30) for deciding whether or not the error correction rate of video signals of one or more hierarchies surpasses a prescribed value in each hierarchy, a parallelly displaying means (video synthesis display processor 13) for displaying the videos of the respective hierarchies parallelly on one picture when the error correction rate deciding means decides that the error correction rate surpasses the prescribed value, and a hierarchy switching and displaying means (controller 30) for selecting one video among videos of the respective hierarchies displayed parallelly and outputting the one video.
