Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiving device which can decide whether or not the contents of a data broadcast, etc., are displayed in a short time.
SOLUTION: Whether or not data are displayed is decided from information showing whether a data display area is written transparently or colored, mask information on the data display area, and data display ON/OFF information. When data display OFF information is obtained, it is decided that data are not displayed. When the data display area is not written in a color even in the data display ON state, the data non-display state is decided. When the data display area is written in the color in the data display ON state, a data display state is basically decided, but when the entire area is written transparently or masked thereafter, the data non-display state is decided.
