For correcting the composition of a first taken picture 42 of an inclined object, the picture 42 is turned to rightly erect the object picture, based on the camera position at photographing the first picture. In accordance with this turning treatment, a picture corresponding to a lost picture in a recording picture range 38 is extracted from a second taken picture 46 as a filling picture 50. The second picture 46 is obtained by photographing the same object as in the first picture 42 at a different view angle and a different camera position. The expanded picture of the filling 50 extracted from the second picture 46 according to the view angle of the first picture 42 is combined with the first turned picture 42 to obtain the corrected picture 36 of the erecting object picture without reducing the number of pixels.
