To display the degree of camera-shake and to show a user a way of reducing the effect of camera-shake in an easily understandable way.
An imaging device converts an optical image from an optical system into an imaging signal, and a camera signal processing part processes the imaging signal. An auto iris detection part obtains information on the brightness of a subject from the imaging signal. A camera-shake degree detection part 72 generates information on the degree of camera-shake having an effect on imaging from a relationship between the brightness information and shutter speed information to set the exposure time of the imaging device, classifies the information depending on whether the camera-shake effect is small or great, outputs the information as information on the degree of camera-shake classification, and displays it on a display part by changing a display format.
