To provide a digital camera having a red-eye reducing bracket photographing mode for reducing the red-eye phenomenon effectively at the time of stroboscopic photographing.
A previous flash is caused by a stroboscope device 31, and after a first prescribed time goes by, each bracket photographing process, in which the picture is taken by a photographing unit 15 while a main flash is caused by the stroboscope device 31, is carried out multiple times with intervals of second prescribed time. Image data obtained by each bracket photographing process is written in a cache memory 19. After the completion of writing, the image data is read out from the cache memory 19 and displayed on an image LCD display unit 21. The user observes the displayed image data switched over by using a select switch 39, and only the image data, which is selected with an OK switch 37 by the user, is stored in an image recording media 27.
